I knew he was going to protray Lord Krishna in this series and he even got appriciated by my mom.who by the way is a really difficult person to impress. I have been a fan of Saurabh raj jain since I had seen him in Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, as Vishnu. Now I dont deny that I was totally oblivious of the previous episodes, or the about the actors of the show prior to that episode. I still have that first impression, Pooja Sharma's brilliant acting. I mean I had begun watching the show from the episode where Draupadi was dragged down to the main assembly and she questions Bheeshma. So first I watched the high-octane Vastraharan scene. Star used to upload the episodes after their original run on TV. Back then Mahabharat episodes were available on Youtube for free. It was exactly after which I googled the show. NAGN TO PAANCH NIRBAL PAANDAV HUYE THE!!!!" That promo literally had my attention. "Bhari sabha me Draupadi nagn nahi hui thi. Tum sab kayar the, jo paanch hokar bhi apni patni ki raksha nahi kar paye." And here comes the line that still gives me goosebumps. Arjun and Yudhisthir gave their excuses upon which Draupadi replied, very boldly, "na koi vivash tha, na koi vachanbaddh tha. It was Draupadi questioning her husbands, why they were silent. It was obviously not a scene from the series but something that everyone would relate to, and would love scream out loud. However sometime around its original telecast, close to the Draupadi Cheerharan sequence, I happened to stumble upon one of its promos. Otherwise its just hoolabaloo and the remote is always passed to the seniors.

I was in college back then and TV was not a commodity but a luxury for the person who gets to grab the remote at the common dining hall, when no one is present. I remember having ignored the show when it was launched thinking it is some poor remake of Mahabharta. I urge everyone to watch BR Chopra's Mahabharat for proper understanding. And the role of Barbarik (Bheema's grandson) was nowhere seen. I mean, where are Kauravas army and why Pitamah fighting with Pandavas in a secluded place? Complete nonsense. And then wounded Shikhandi appeared from nowhere and fulfilling her promise. This show has gone completely gone with this and showed that all 5 Pandavas trying to defeat Pitamah in a secluded place. Shikhandi was supposed to be the Saarthi of Arjun to prevent Pitamah to fight resulting Arjun defeating Pitamah. Most disappointing scene was putting Bhishma Pitamah on bed of Arrows. Such a terrible thing to do and serving wrong facts to the audience. Director has put his imagination and served to the audience knowing the fact that this generation might not have watched BR Chopra's legendary work. From Kauravas to Pandavas, everything was presented so wrongly. But going completely against the Facts is such a shameless act. So when you have such depiction, you could have copied the facts and presented it in best vfx possible for this generation. FYI, BR Chopra made it clear that some facts were unknown so he didn't present it as it could result in controversy. And then you have BR Chopra's Mahabharat which presented Mahabharata in purest form and justified it very well. Mahabharat is well written by Maharishi Vyas. jaisa sochta waisa karta.Įach character is superb and mahabharat is epic. Aur Maja to tab aata hai series me jab sakuni aata hai Kya role hai uska. Love, duty, devotion, discipline, care, anger, sad and none other than rajneeti. Har ek Character ka role bahut hi acha hai. Pehli baat to iska purane mahabharat se compare na Kare wo series and isme bahut difference hai.
